Signal Processing for Instrumentation and Communications Research Laboratory (SPICR)

About

The Signal Processing for Instrumentation and Communications Research Laboratory (SPICR) is a multi-disciplinary research group. We develop fundamental theories and innovative techniques of signal processing and investigate their applications in optical electronics, audio and acoustic systems, telecommunications and sensing. Our current research is focused on:

  • 3D digital imaging and 3D profile measurement
  • Optical feedback self-mixing sensing and measurement
  • Iterative and robust signal processing for wireless and powerline communications
  • Coding and decoding techniques for high-rate, reliable communication networks
  • Optical fibre sensors and applications

We promote collaborations with internal and external researchers, and welcome motivated research students.
