ICT Research Institute
University of Wollongong’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Research Institute (formerly Telecommunication and Information Technology Research Institute - TITR) is one of the longest running and largest university-based research institutes in the field of ICT in Australia and is a flagship research strength within the University. The Institute has been instrumental in establishing the University’s international reputation in ICT research and is recognized as a Centre of Excellence in Telecommunications by the New South Wales State Government. ICT Research Institute focuses on four major research themes and is comprised of seven laboratories which collectively represent about 60 academic research staff and over 95 post-graduate students, mostly at PhD level.
